Be You was built to help educators support young Australians. By 2020 the programme was hostage to its own digital sprawl: scattered tools, inconsistent processes across delivery partners, and a registration form only 24% of users completed.

Strategy

The strategy balanced two realities: educators are time-poor, and mental-health support must feel safe, practical, and grounded.

The introduction of Edge Profiles, deliberately edge-case personas meant time-poor educators, overwhelmed managers and marginalised communities were visible in every decision. In addition, future-state features and an operating-model blueprint that unified Beyond Blue, Headspace and Early Childhood Australia to deliver the services.

• Simplified onboarding + registration: A redesigned registration and sign-up experience to remove friction from the highest-drop-off step, supported by clearer IA and guidance for educators.
• Personalised, data-informed pathways: Centralised measurement and analytics to enable role-appropriate recommendations (content, prompts, and resources) and better decision-making across the programme.
